Music Head appeared not to like what he heard of this recently, but I'm going to leap to its' defence.
DSOTM is a bit of a sacred cow, but Coyne & Co seem to have struck the right balance between reverence, & brutally radical reinterpretation.
Some of this sounds like it might have sounded if the Floyd had recorded DSOTM five years earlier, and the rest feels like it's coming from the future.
Messy & psychedelic, in much the same manner as Embryonic, this is a blast.
Henry Rollins is a good choice for the spoken sections, but Peaches is no Clare Torry...
