On February 2011, The Civil Wars Band released their debut album Barton Hollow, which in its first week, became the No. 1 downloaded album on iTunes. The album peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Digital Albums chart, No. 12 on The Billboard 200, No. 2 on the Billboard Folk Albums chart, and No. 3 on the Billboard Rock Albums chart. The Civil Wars band got a boost of their reputation when Taylor Swift tweeted about them in late 2010.
