LEONARD COHEN "songs from a room" cd 1969
a revisit
his sophomore album, fifteen in total, own them all on either cd or vinyl
MH isnt going to like this but lately i find his first three albums monotonous as best
theres nothing wrong with them apart from them all being sparse musically.
i think Cohen's songs were enhanced once he bought in various instruments and band assistance, but thats just me
i also prefer his vocals as he aged also, the deeper, croaky tones suit the narratives IMO
that said, a good album but now i own all of his albums the first three are the ones i go back to least for those reasons
I LIKE THIS ALBUM
