from Lynne's vinyl collection
his seventh studio album
a first time listening to a Campbell studio album for me,
only just getting in to his music as i never took the time previously
a really good album that was the first country album to win "album of the year" Grammy.
I LOVE THIS ALBUM
favourite is the obvious one:

I watched this doccie on YouTube recently – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6skLoVroiEg&t=5936s - made by Tommy Tedesco’s son. Famously of The Wrecking Crew, as was Glen Campbell before he went solo, as I’m sure you know! Campbell was one of 43 (I kid you not) session musicians plus an entire string section of 15 AND a few more ‘guests’ appearing on Pet Sounds – the Beach Boys themselves hardly played anything – vocals, yes – same with the Monkees and a few others - The Mamas & the Papas, etc. The Wrecking Crew were amazingly competent musicians – absolute pros and they were used extensively by almost everyone for recordings up until bands started getting their act together and actually playing for themselves.
The video is not as long as it appears – half the time shown – also not great quality, but I watched it anyway! Some real characters. I’m amazed to find that Carol Kaye is still around – 90 now. The most prolific bass player ever. “Wichita Lineman” – there’s something about that song.
