Beatles' "yesterday and today" (butcher cover).
was one of those US only Capitol Records albums, it contained tracks from "help", "rubber soul" and "revolver".
the original butcher cover was withdrawn from shops the day it was released and a more 'family friendly' cover was glued over the top of that cover.
anyone with an original Butcher cover can basically name their asking price when selling them.
i believe people even managed to steam off the replacement covers but there was some damage caused to the Butcher cover.
i have a copy of the album with the Butcher cover but it was a european reissue from the 1990s (i believe) and not worth anything.
its more of a focal point, a talking point than anything else.
