UK TOP 100 SUMMARY AND REVIEW 07.02.25 #23
THE TOP TEN:
Teddy Swims returns to the top ten with 'Bad Dreams' at ten as Tate slides on sales, but despite that, still reaches a new peak of 9 with 'Revolving Door' after the British Myles Smith has a huge surge to 8 with 'Nice To Meet You,' and Lola Young has a nice sales boost to 7. Lady Gaga's 'Abracadabra' dives to 6, and 'Sports Car' dives to 5. Benson Boone is up yet again as 'Beautiful Things' has a sales boost to 4. Alex Warren is gaining and fast with 'Ordinary' up from 8 to 3. Kendrick Lamar loses the number one as 'Not Like Us' has a 6,000 drop in sales, which opens the gap for 'Pink Pony Club' by Chappell Roan to take number one for its first week with a 2,000 sales boost! Right now the number one spot isn't too strong, though, so new acts have a higher chance of getting a high new entry.
NEW ENTRIES:
94. Conceited—Lola Young (7.8/10)
And once again, Lola Young delivers. It's not as good as 'Messy,' but it still stands as a stable song. Originally from her album, 'Conceited' was released last year and most likely charted due to her current success. And I can tell it has similarities to Messy, the continuous loop that builds up to a hook that goes all out, but this one is more badass and free rather than Messy, which sticks to the rhythm more. If you like the meaning, beat, style, or anything about Messy, then I think you'll enjoy this!
76. Mrs. Whitman - Bhad Bhabie (1/10)
How about we don't promote this and not let it go YouTube trending number one? Flipping heck, female rappers really have to push the exact same message as each other, and they still chart! We had Ceechynaa, Sexxy Red, and more on the chart; we don't need another mindless fool messing up the chart. We really had to start the song with the same intro from Kanye West's 'Carnival.' I did not want to be reminded of that song in 2025 or even Kanye as a person, and then Bhad Bhabie starts rapping, and wow… she's awful, she's worse than Ice Spice, she's not saying anything meaningful and instead piling dirt upon dirt with a flow that sounds like she's an amateur trying to copy some rap TikTok trend. And what even is that artist's name? Bhad bhabie?! I'm going to do everything in my willpower to not give this song any more attention; let's hope it falls out next week.
70. We Hug Now—Sydney Rose (7/10)
Gracie Abrams has to take notes after this; this is how you do it! The change in beat was my favourite part; it was noticeably good and different, which is hard to do in these kinds of songs, but Sydney did that well. This is like a Taylor Swift song but without the random lyrics that feel out of place or the emphasis given to certain parts.
68. Show Me Love—WizTheMc/Bees and Honey (7.2/10)
Wow, this is actually a vibe! This sounds like something that could climb up the charts in time for summer! Released only a month ago, 'Show Me Love' is a fusion of Afrobeats and house music. It has an earworm of a loop, and the vocals are part of those chilled Afrobeats vibes that often make it up the charts. I'm excited to see how this does in the coming weeks!
30. Sorry I'm Here For Someone Else - Benson Boone (5.5/10)
Rare Benson Boone L. As Benson was one of my most streamed artists ever and 95% of the time creates something I enjoy, I was very much excited (to say the least) about this upcoming new era, and the opening single will set the tone for how I'm going to feel. To keep it short and real, Benson played it safe and did exactly what he's been doing before but even worse, and the lyrics feel like they took a downgrade. The lyrics are like a page out of someone's diary about some cringe interaction with a waitress serving fries. Come on, Benson, what is this?? Is it due to the industry's high demand of quickly pushing out singles because this feels rushed and so damn boring that there's no room to have any new ideas of what Benson may be doing in the future with his music, move on, make something new, or at least up to quality like your previous hit singles?
RE-ENTRIES:
99. S*x On Fire—Kings Of Leon
[I don't care care if its a "classic" it's cringe.]
96. Craving 4 U - Bl3ss/Camrinwatson/Bbyclose
[Not this still here.]
87. Austin—Dasha
[I was not expecting this to hold on till March 2025. One More week and this will have spent a year in the charts.]
45. Angel Of My Dreams—JADE
[You are not the icon, the moment, or even memorable.]
35. It's ok. I'm ok—Tate McRae
[You are the icon, the moment, and memorable.]
15. Anxiety—Sleepy Hallow/Doechii
[I've only heard the new Doechii one but that's really good.]

NEXT WEEK'S PREDICTIONS:
Lady Gaga and JENNIE'S new album will give them a boost in the charts; maybe 'Die With A Smile' will go back to the top ten or 'Abracadabra' could possibly go to No. 1. It would be the first number one released in 2025 to go to number one in 2025.
