MANFRED MANN "soul of mann" cd 1967
a compilation of mostly instrumental tracks...
most if not all, are planted firmly in the jazz/r+b genre...
not surprising really considering South African born Mann was a trained jazz musician...
some interesting takes on other contemporary songs including "i got you babe", "my generation" and "satisfaction" to name a few...
theres nothing i do not like on here and im thinking the reason is the use of the Hammond-B organ, whose sound i love...
and surprising as it may sound...
I LOVE THIS ALBUM
fave is an original tune:
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
