Glad I gave this a shot. I had written it off based on the single of Fireflies which I hear every morning on the tv music channels and I hate. Actually a few real good tracks on here along with some rubbish of course, but overall, not bad. The single made it to #1 on the U.S. charts with the album at #8. Another one that's hard to classify and maybe should even be electronic as he claims that to be the big influence. He, is Adam Young. A Minnesota lad who has created Owl City, and gained attention by uploading his songs to myspace, thus receiving a recording contract. See folks, that's all it takes. Problem for me is I just don't like music generated by a computer, which is most of this. It's not that the music is bad, just the way it's created I don't like. Live tracks of #'s 3 and 8 are an example. No instruments to play. Just turn/slide some knobs. At some point, that will be all music is. Glad I won't be here.
