One version included the original album on CD, two heavy-weight vinyl records, another CD of bonus tracks, lyric books and artwork. All of this was packaged in a slipcase.
There is no need for a physical format to play the music from. There are many loss-less digital formats. Songs can be downloaded in this way with all of the audio quality of CDs if that is what the audience desires.
