that weather is the reason my parents emigrated to Australia back in the day and theres an interesting story attached to it which i'll try to keep short:
1: a cold frosty Janauary day in 1976, my dad gets to work on a building site, he is sick of the terrible weather and tells his apprentice to pack up the tools because theyre going to London to Australia House.
2: 35mile drive to London, they have no idea where exactly theyre going when they hit London, they find a car park and park the car.
3: they take note of where they parked walk tot he corner of the street and take note of the street name.
4: they see a Police Officer over the other side of the road and approach him to ask directions to Australia House.
5: the Police Officer says to my Dad "youre stnading in front of it"
my Dad swears this story is true, and he was meant to be there.
on November 13th 1976 we landed via BA in Perth at 3am.
