10CC "greatest hits 1972-1978" cd, 1979.
Hmmm, 10CC,
where do i start?....
album cover, love it, best thing about the album IMO.
heard a couple of studio albums over the years and was always underwhelmed.
band had so much talent and yet i feel like they seemed to squander it in an attempt to be too clever, arty and trying to pander to the Uni-student masses.
as a rule compilations are supposed to showcase who you are as an artist but again, with this it is underwhelming in so many places.
hear a great song then in pops something that feels like a throwaway track and so on...
love literally half this album but the rest i can leave.
if others here 'get it', what am i missing?
