No idea where this one belongs - it's here because at least some of it was recorded from a live performance. Can't make up my mind whether or not the concept worked. A re-imagining of some of Roxy Music's stuff - orchestral and with occasional choir, so reminds me rather of that Classic Rock album by the London Symphony Orchestra which kind of sanitised rock for the masses. Ok - this is not quite as clinical, but I really do think some things are probably best left alone if they aren't to be improved upon, at the very least. I sat through the whole album (which would have been infinitely better listening had I not been familiar with Roxy Music at all) waiting in anticipation for "Tara", one of two interludes on Avalon - it always seemed a shame that neither were longer than their 1.40 odd minutes. It was a satisfactory expansion and is perhaps the most intrinsically true track on the album and even so, I'm not sure that it's any more enhanced. Funny that - seems to work better when it leaves you wanting more.
