MIDNIGHT OIL "diesel & dust" cd, 1987.
Aussie political rock band.
have a punk/clash edge to their sound on occasion.
sixth album of eleven, pretty sure I only own four from memory.
used to love these guys then vocalist Peter Garrett entered Federal politics here,
first as a member of the Nuclear Disarmament Party, then The Greens and finally the Australian Labour Party.
my problem was not so much with his political views, theyre his choice, but the fact he used to sing about not
towing the party line, having an individual voice and that politicians need to listen to their constituents...
all of which went out the window when he was on the payroll.
still, a few tracks here and there I still love because, well, they've got a great feel to them, the rest I don't give a crap
about anymore. only love two on here, like one or two others, dislike the rest so....
I DO NOT LIKE THIS ALBUM
favourite: love the song, the sound and the video:
