Don Henley, known for his dalliances with the ladies back in the day, had an expression. Instead of saying 'love them and leave them' he would say 'love them and lear them' referring to the days when he would send a Lear jet to pick up the latest girlfriend. It was always a return ticket! Don't know if this is true or not but I read it somewhere a long time ago.
