I agree in part and disagree in part. I'm not a genre lover, because there's only little material from any genre that I really like. There is no forumula for a good tune. It has to move you to be be precious.
But slow synthesizer music built on sounds that tremble and shiver on their own and have their own pulse doesn't need much change or variation. Variation has its own predictability and boredom. A piece or two of Eno's music does sometimes strike me as enjoyable, but overall I find his works to be tedious and far too arty to be enjoyable. They do not move me. They have the same dry, witty and shallow quality that is typical of too much of the fine arts.
