Having been born on a cool, wet island and now living further South in continental Europe, I find around 20-25 degrees a nice temperature. The UK's maritime climate always kept things within a reasonable, but, cool range and one never really saw the nice warm things that others did. However, where I am in NL, is landlocked and we have hills ( Yes, I live in the Dutch mountains !!) and here we get the extremes , it can be as cold as -30C and as hot as 40C .
