DATA "opera electronica" cd, 1981
UK synth-pop band...
debut album of three, I own two....
brain child of former Sailor vocalist/song writer Georg Kajanus who decided
back in the 1970s he wanted to pursue electronic music..
by time this album was released he had gone more into electro-pop...
other member of the duo was John Boulter, a tenor and member of UK tv cast
Black & White Minstrel Show....
songs on here are alternative and electro-pop all rolled into one...
all catchy, nothing too repetitive, even the music has an endearing quality that sounds
modern...
to draw comparisons to other music I would say "Daft Punk meets B-52s with a hint of Devo"...
