MARK-ALMOND "mark-almond" vinyl 1970:
not the guy from Soft Cell, that's Marc Almond....
in fact not a guy at all, a band fromted by Jon Mark and John Almond,
two of the guys in John Mayall's Bluesbreakers.....
their debut album....
consists of primarily jazz tinged soft rock...
"allmusic" says it sounds like Barclay James Harvest and their fans would like it....
five tracks, side two has only two tracks, which means side one has three tracks...
love the first side all classics IMO...
the second side drags a bit for my liking but is still okay...
all up, an interesting blend/fusion of rock and jazz...
one of the greatest songs of the rock era IMO...
still sends the chills down my spine when I hear it....
if you guys haven't heard it, I urge you to put on the can, turn up the volume
and give it a listen...!
