new releases in the UK for week commencing 30th March:
There's a new single out this week by Calvin Harris' who, judging by the title of his latest track, we're guessing is warming up nicely for a season of summer bangers. Heatstroke, which arrives just five weeks after his last release Slide, is a mega-collab with Ariana Grande, Pharrell and Young Thug.Meanwhile, Pixie Lott returns with her new single Baby featuring British DJ Anton Powers, alt-J release a new teaser track called In Cold Blood ahead of their new album Relaxer, and producer Cashmere Cat has teamed up with MO and newcomer Sophie for the intriguingly-titled 9 (After Coachella).
On the albums front, Goldfrapp release their seventh album Silver Eye, which is said to be a semi-return to their dark disco roots, and Jamiroquai make their long-awaited return with their first collection in seven years, called Automaton. Check out Jay Kay's Official Top 10 best-sellers here.
Elsewhere, Nelly Furtado takes a markedly left-field turn on her new record The Ride, Argentinian indie-pop singer Tei Shi releases her debut Crawl Space, and a new super deluxe box set of Fleetwood Mac's 1987 album Tango In The Night, featuring remastered songs, B-sides and other rarities, is out.
