New Release songs/singles/albums/dvds in the UK for week commencing 12th January:
The xx headline this week's #NewMusicFriday with their new album I See You.The London three-piece's third studio record was announced back in November alongside the collection's lead single On Hold, which became the group's second Top 40 single. A sold out seven-night residency at Brixton Academy in March is supporting I See You, the longest in the venue's history. The xx's last album Coexist peaked at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart.
Other new album releases this week come from Flaming Lips, Wiley, a collaborative effort Juicy J & Ty Dolla $ign, plus David Bowie's Legacy greatest hits will be available on vinyl for the first time.
On the singles front, Halsey releases her Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack song Not Afraid Anymore, while Aston Merrygold returns with a new track One Night in Paris. Elsewhere, The Saturdays' Una Healy debuts her first single Stay My Love, a country inspired number which is a duet with Sam Palladio, star of the TV show Nashville.
