youre right of course Jerome, but also location for the band is also important, I mean, a new metal band isn't going to get very if theyre trying to make it in Nashville or New Orleans,
but yes, the quality of the music is the most important thing, if youre good, youre halfway there IMO, just takes getting noticed by the right people and your own marketing and promotional tools.
that first up post is five years old now, I wonder if that person did get to music school or started their own band, would be interesting to know I guess.....
and I wonder if they realise just how hard it is to actually make it from jamming with friends in a garage/bedroom to even getting recording deal, let alone being given the opportunity to actually get a gig?????
