Ronnie Laine,Steve Marriott and now Ian....
At least I still have my Small Faces albums...
He influenced countless rock keyboardists through the decades with his use of the Hammond Organ.

RIP Ian,
And another Tin Soldier goes to that great Park in the sky...

Nice showcase on Letterman--thanks for sharing, Mrrusty1.
Mr. MacLagan went from strength to strength, always bringing class and musicianship to whatever enterprise.

Ogden's Nut Gone Flake by The Small Faces is a great album and Ian McLagan was a key part of the sound, as he was also with Rod Stewart and the Faces. It is scary to think Kenney Jones is the last surviving member of The Small Faces.

Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake was a classic IMO....

Small Faces were my favourite UK band from the 1960s.
Followed by Manfred Mann,The Who,Kinks and Hollies.

And then we get into Steve Marriot's Humble Pie later on...

As you can see now why I love Paul Weller Big Ears..LOL

My version of ONGF has a BBC Radio documentary about the making of the album, which I remember hearing when it was broadcast. Paul Weller has an important input to the programme. If you haven't heard it, it must be on youtube somewhere.

I am really a Who and Kinks fan and have seen them both, but the other bands on your list, Crazy Horse, are very good too. One of my favourite Humble Pie albums is Thunderbox, mainly for their version of I Can't Stand the Rain, which many purists don't like.
