JACKSON BROWNE "running on empty" cd, 1977

Jackson's fifth album...this one is live.
recorded on tour in the US August/Sept of 1977,
an awesome live performance, one of the best live albums i own and well worth getting if you dont already have it....assuming you like his music, that is!
recieved two Grammy's for the album, "album of the year" and "best male vocalist"....and rightfully so IMO.
i dont score or rate live albums for some reason, but like i said...i love listening to this one...

^Great album! Jackson Browne and David Lindley are such a good musical pairing. Love it.

Lacrimaria by Ars Nova (2001). Ars Nova is ELP-style progressive rock from a group of Japanese women, with strong classical influences. It is not everybody's cup of tea, but it is definitely mine. Their album cover art is usually a bit kinky, beyond just pressure from Musea's marketing department.

Hey the videos work great over across the pond in Canada, Big Ears! I loved the videos, a very good band imho!...thanks!
Big Ears Wrote:Stretch were heavier than AWB and not quite as soulful. Climax Blues Band's Couldn't Get Right from 1976 is similar.

^ It's good to see someone else who likes both Stretch and Ars Nova, Steve. There can't be many of us about.

I think you are spot on, Big Ears! The first time Ars Nova has been mentioned on MD since I became a member over three years ago!

I recently saw Ars Nova mentioned in a 'symphonic progressive rock' thread on another forum, and it prompted me to go back and listen to them. I managed to get most of their albums, a few years ago, after reading somewhere that they are like ELP.

Dr Feelgood Live at Rockpalast 1980. I noticed this had been released on Repertoire, as part of a series, in an old magazine I was about to put out. I would really like to find the Steve Hillage at Rockpalast 1977. John Mayo did a good job of standing in for Wilko Johnson, but Feelgood missed Johnson as much as he missed them. I saw him playing guitar for Ian Dury and it was a pretty poor show.

Dr. Feelgood was a severely under-rated band. Here's a clip from '75 featuring Wilko Johnson: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ILyWFhuf3Y
I don't think this is Rockpalast but know it's from German TV in '80: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHxYhSYkK44
