Talk Talk - Asides Besides - like the band but not mad about this release. Reworked tracks - they should have left the originals alone.
My favourite of theirs - that solo in the middle is just bone chilling

Jerome Wrote:You must get 'On Every Street' - superb album. And there is an album of instrumentals and movie soundtracks called 'Screenplaying' which is probably my favourite album of his. The strings on 'Last Exit to Brooklyn' are just plain fantastic. Gives me goose bumps every time I listen to it.
i do actually look for "on every street" every time i pass by a music store but never see it...!
"local hero" and "cal", i have on vinyl...i did pick up "screenplaying" a while ago, but put it down....sould have got it,and do regret not doing so!
so thanks J-Man...youve probably confirmed my interest in both of those

Tanita Tikaram - Everybody's Angel. Some great tracks on this - very mellow album. Perfect with a glass of red wine and an open fire.

Daybreaker - Beth Orton - quite liked this initially - some very unusual instrumentation & string arrangements in the background which appeal to me but as the album wore on her voice started wearing me out. It all started sounding the same and I lost interest towards the end of the album. Having said that, the first two or three tracks are pretty good, especially 'Paris Train' which I really like.

Jon and Vangelis - Chronicles - love this album - never tire of it. An English progressive rock vocalist and a Greek electronic pioneer. Strange bedfellows - but what a result!

Indigo Girls - Become You - pretty middle of the road - nothing earth-shattering here but not bad either.

Making my way through Firefallâs discography â fabulous band, IMHO! They crammed some serious brilliance into at least four successive years, which is as far along as Iâve got for now.
Some picks from

âHeaded for a Fallâ (which was probably portentous, but anyway ⦠terrible sound quality on YouTube so resorting to audio) â¦.

âStardustâ, which is very beautiful, and not to be found on YouTube â¦
