What Are You Listening To?
Ruby Wrote:^^A very intelligent cat, your Scooter - he had great taste! I love it too - thanks!!
Yes he was very smart. His mama was at the plant where we worked. She had alot of kittens. His daddy had to have been siamese because a couple of the kittens looked like full blooded siamese but Scooter was tabby even though he and Dolly were brother and sister. We decided to take them both. Dolly had the prettiest blue eyes. My hubby named her after Dolly Parton because at the time Dolly was his favorite singer. Here is a few stories of how Scooter took care of Dolly. Dolly was not too smart but Scooter took care of her and taught her how to jump off our deck to the ground. He would show her how and then run down to the ground and watch her to see if she could do it right. She finally learned. I caught him one day pulling a toy by the string on our front porch and she was running after the toy. One day there was a cat about to attack Dolly on our porch. Scooter got in between them so the cat could not hurt her. One story that really got to me is when he was not even grown yet. He came to my back door and was just hollering. I opened the door and thought he wanted to come in. I said come on in Scooter but he would not come in. He looked scared. I went outside and he walked right beside and I saw Dolly on the fence in the backyard about to fall. I picked her up and sat her on the ground and they went running off side by side. Amazing how Scooter knew to come and get me Confusedmile: Dolly passed away at only 2 years old and my Scooter when he was 12. I cried my eyes out when he passed. We were so close!!.Glad you liked Scooter's song Ruby Confusedmile:

Oh Lord, I had to cut the song off. It got me crying. I could see Scooter in my mind sitting in front of the TV watching.

I still miss my Scooter so much!! For some reason he loved this song. After it was over he would get up and leave.

I have a cat in the house that always decides to go out at about 2 in the morning. So I have to get up and let her out. Starts kneading my chest while I am sleeping. Then at about 4am the doorbell starts ringing. She jumps up and smacks the electronic buzzer with her paw. I am waiting for the day (night really) where I can sleep right through. Needless to say I am awake from about 4 onwards every day. Morale of the story;

The early bird does NOT catch the worm.
The early bird does not catch any ZZZZ's either!

As a result, nothing's right in my left brain and nothing's left in my right brain by 6am.

And I have tried a cat flap - she's not interested. She wants to be escorted out. She who must be obeyed.........

I heard the back door ringing. Thought there was somebody there. Then it started ringing one ring after another. I asked my hubby who is ringing the doorbell. He looked out the window and said it's Scooter. He was standing up and reaching his front leg to the doorbell just hitting the doorbell. Then he ran in the house. Strange. Cats are smarter than some think and the cats are the boss :laugh:

Visions of loveliness like this keep the human race going. The pic steamed up my specs; the rendition fogged up my headphones. You rock, SteveO! He's right with the 6:19 remark but they build this song so beautifully...don't cheat yourself by going right to there.
