Tony Iomi is amazing because he lost several fingers in an accident and had to re learn using leather finger tips . and he is one of the worlds greatest rock guitarists ..amazing guy
SteveO Wrote:You have very good taste Jerome! I also love Technical Ecstasy and Sabotage! Yes after listening to them for 46 years I bit the bullet!!! Very emotional concert for me!!!! I am an Ozzy fan of sorts but Tony Iommi is one hell of a classy guitarist! I am sure you know what I mean J Man!

Fascinating! I thought he had magnets on his fingers! How does he get that wah wah sound or effect on the tracks N.I.B. and Dirty Women? He has no wah wah pedals on stage, Rusty?

I think he was inspired by the jazz guitarist django rheinhart who lost the use of some fingers. the wah wah im not sure maybe he has evolved a way of dampening the strings with his hand whilst playing

^ Django is phenomenal! Thanks for the reply! Makes sense that Tony would do the dampering for a wah wah sound!

Pretty Jealous that Steveo managed to see Sabbath live... bet they absolutely killed it!
Sabbotage is such a good album, my dad has quite a few albums and a couple on record which is pretty cool! Not going lie my mum never appreciated them as much as us though... like father like son eh?? Symptom Of The Universe - was the track for me.... early sunday mornings, full blast! The neighbours use to bloody love me... But then again love all the classics like Iron Man, Jack The Stripper, Sweat Leaf, War Pigs ... etc. Since my dad use to be a big fan, I ended up buying him this War Pigs Limited edition Screen Print which I thought was pretty cool! (For Fathers day the other week) http://www.thefloodgallery.com/collectio...ar-pigs-a2 ![]() Nicely framed and hanging in his little practise room/office ![]() If you guys have any recommendations of their best performances or live DVD's, I would love to here them!

Very cool Father's Day gift Josh! I think one of the best DVDs of late would be the Gathered in Their Masses from their 13 Tour!

oh ya...he's obviously lost a substantial amount of vocal range but the quirky nutty character of cussing and rousing the audience is still there...I went to watch Tony for the most part,,,brilliant guitarist!
Robert Plant...autotune probably!
