Mr Brooks is coming over to play a concert here and you'd swear the Pope was coming over for a visit the way people are going gaga over this concert. I don't know his music at all so I decided to have a listen on YT. For the life of me I cannot make out what all the fuss is about. Average songs with below average lyrics. All very pedestrian/middle of the road/hillbilly nonsense to me.

Neil Finn in march, could probably charge what he wanted out here also with his back catalogue and loyal fans but $99 for him also! pretty sure Neil Young was just over the $100 mark last year,likewise Nickelback and Waters. i still remmeber when $50 was top of the range price(McCartney in 1993/4) from memory(and he could still sing then. if i pay $248 for a ticket i want to see Beatles or Elvis Presley, not Garth Brooks, who incidently always reminds me of what i'd call a 'city cowboy') and BTW, i dont rate him at all neither and i like country(real country)

i guess theres about 80,000 people down under who are nuts then(im not one of them,well, i might be, but im not going to see The Stones!)

500 for the Stones...never???? Stones were under 200 here 5 years ago (about 80,000 at Magnetic Hill also). Macca was 135, 4 years ago here. My daughter's Christmas gift to me was $160 for the upcoming April Black Sabbath concert.
