What Are You Listening To?
Culture - Two Sevens Clash

Mid 70's Reggae album. Some very good songs on here...

Stevie Wonder - Music of my Mind

Early 70's album where Stevie comes of age...

Edith Piaf - The Voice of The Sparrow

Mrs Tiggi & I often listen to Desert Island Discs on BBC Radio 4, and Piaf's Non, Je ne Regrette Rien must be the most frequently chosen piece of music.

Plenty of rolled R's, but not too many accordions...

Kathryn Tickell - The Gathering

Folk music featuring Tickell's Northumbrian pipes.

Very absorbing & involving music...

The Phenomenal Ruthie Foster Album
I saw her perform live last night, she is absolutely amazing, and very deserving of all the praise she has been receiving

Gill Scott Heron
The Revolution Will Not Be Televised

Some brilliant mellow jazz grooves amongst a few heavy duty finger pointing tracks.

The Miles Davis Sextet - On Green Dolphin Street

Just got the Kind of Blue 50th aniversary Collectors Edition. Totally worth its salt.

Stevie Wonder - Talking Book

Solid songs of Life, Love, Loss, & Hope...

Earth Wind & Fire - Greatest Hits

Impeccably crafted 70's Soul.

I've wanted an EWF Best of for years, but somehow never got around to doing the deed. Have now, and very glad about it.

Let's Groove is a fantastic piece of work...

Seasick Steve - I Started Out With Nothin & I Still Got Most of it Left

Came to prominence in the UK on the back of some well received TV appearances.

Basic country blues from a well-travelled US migrant to Blighty.

There may be many more worthy blues albums that should have a higher priority on my buy list, but this is excellent fun...

It's really funny to read this here this morning Tigger, as myself and another Aussie Blues musician mate, Ross Ward were having a great laugh about the title last only night.
