i dont know the Incubus track but Wonderwall must surely be one of the greatest songs of the last thirty years...so simplistically brilliant, and by the way.....what the hell is a wonderwall(other than the name of a George Harrison project from the 1960s, maybe Oasis were simply using the title to pay homeage to him here???

Christ.....what am epic title, fourteen words in there!!!!
have two albums by these guys definately, maybe three, not sure...like or love them all, but this is my favourite one...
sounds on some songs like it was recorded in one take on a portable tape recorded, background hiss, noises etc....
sort of thing i think Bob Dylan could have done, very off-beat,kooky with good stories and simple plain acoustics allround...
one of those albums you either love or hate IMO,thankfully i love it...one of the earliest recommendations from Corey way back when....
i love stuff like this that is raw, ragged, warts and all...hell, i have to otherwise i wouldnt like half of what Neil Young has released LOL.
very very good album, was curious as to what allmusic would rate this, but i neednt have worried as they score it 4.5/5 or a converted 2.7 on the MHRS.
I LOVE THIS ALBUM

Try this for an album title - The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than the Driver of the Screw and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do... the title of Fiona Apple's new album which by the way is remarkable...experimental , poppish, off the wall and fun to listen to.CRAZY-HORSE Wrote:![[Image: 613IO1v4fWL._SL500_AA300_.jpg]](http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/613IO1v4fWL._SL500_AA300_.jpg)

Howard's third. Comes out with the same score as his second which I did about a week ago. Actually think this one is
a little stronger lyrically, but weaker with the catchy hooks I guess, which probably explains the lesser chart
showing. Many factors go into that of course. Made #10 in the UK, but a weak #59 here. Nothing I love on this one
and a couple that fail. Showing four singles, of which All I Want fared the best in the homeland at #35, and You
Know I Love You, Don't You in the U.S. at #17. This was the last of Howard's albums to reach gold status, and the
last one that I have.

A no hit wonder. Nothing memorable on here but there are some ok tunes. Can't even find a bio on this guy. The album
cover reminds me of Look Sharp. Wondering if that was intentional. The music passes for that style also. Shows three
albums, this being the last. Guess he gave up. Notable guest appearance by Ian Hunter on High Class Blues. With Ian
and a major label (Epic), the only excuse for the dismal showing would be no promotion. The album did make a dent,
at #65 on the chart. What's Right was a non-charting single. Favorite for me is She Sent Me Away. Not a bad album
and allmusic loves it.

I admit it, I get sucked in by the hype on occasion. Such was the case here. Pushed by many critics on last years
best of the year charts, I went for it unheard. I need to find some new critics. I think someone here gave this high
marks also, but I don't remember who. I just didn't get it. Maybe years from now I'll put it on and feel different.
Gotta give the band kudos for most of the music. A lot of instruments on this album. Nice subtle use of horns and
especially like the steel guitar slipped in on a lot of tracks. I think it was the lyrics/vocals that brought most
of this down for me. Without the lyric sheet I would have been totally lost for most songs. Even with it I needed
some stronger drugs than I had. There were only three tracks that I can say I liked. That's even worse than most of
my online listens. And I bought this! I'm in the minority as usual here though, as the album was a #2 hit here, and
got the group a Grammy for Best Alternative Album. What the hell do I know anyway?
