as for Bob Seger a couple of posts up the page...man,think i only know one or two of these tracks???!!!!...cant knock his first greatest hits package whatsoever, awesome talent!

Another one of those back to the roots things. Come on Neil, we know where your roots are. Stop trying to trick us.
They are right here on this album. Perfect mix of country/rock/folk with Neils ninth solo album. Crazy Horse on a
couple of tracks (the band, not the MD member). The very versatile Nicolette Larson with very nice backing vocals
throughout. Only thing better could have been Emmylou. Interesting to read Human Highway was originally written as a
CSNY number, which never came to be. The only non-Neil written track here is Ian Tysons Four Strong Winds. I've
heard many versions of this, but this one has to be near the top, with Bobby Bare. Easier to list the tracks I don't
love on this album, which are Look Out For My Love, Peace Of Mind, and Motorcycle Mama (my worst track). Best track
Is Field Of Opportunity. Tough choice for best, till I get to this. Then it just kicks ass. The album was a return
to the top 10 for Neil, his first since Harvest. This and that are among his best for me. Now I gotta see what
CRAZY-HORSE said (the MD member, not the band).

Vangelis Reprise - stunning piece of work if you like music that lends itself to being considered as movie sountracks. Powerful album without being over the top. And some magical interludes as well.

Did her Best Of a few weeks ago which came out quite high. This debut does as well on its own. Only two of these
tracks were included on that Best Of set. It took three singles off of here before Pat found her first minor hit
with Heartbreaker. Not one of my six love tracks, but it passes. That one reached #23 and the album went to #12. Pat
reminded me of a Debbie Harry or Chrissie Hynde, but a bit more agressive. An excellent live performer as well.
Three covers that I was aware of on here, Mellancamp's I Need A Lover, Alan Parsons Don't Let It Show, and Smokie's
If You Think You Know How To Love Me. All equal to the originals, and Don't Let It Show gets my favorite. Nothing I
don't like on this debut. Pat had a brilliant career ahead of her.
