THis song in my head.

Hi all,
I have this song and I cannot remember who sang it. I remember the lyrics are "Would you stay with me after dark, if I said to you I was wrong"
or something like that. I originally thought it was from The Northern Pikes, but I now know that was not correct. If you could help me identify the artist I would appreciate it.
