i-Pod listening this PM in the garden.
1996 debut from this UK Trip-Hop outfit.
Very like a slightly more boisterous version of Portishead. Mostly chilled Trip-Hop beats that are very nice for relaxing in the sunshine.
Good album.
AllMusic 4/5 stars.
Haha my old driving instructor once gave me a lend of this album! Haven't listened to it in ages... good album though!

2000 debut from Munich Electronica duo. Recommended on here by absent member JonG.
Glitchy beats underscore electronic music of many different hues. This isn't mainstream music by any stretch, but is highy enjoyable & pretty innovative. It's an inner space electronic voyage, but I could do without the several minutes of near-silence toward the end of the album (just a barely audible electronic texture).
Good album.
AllMusic 4+/5 stars.

On the laptop.
2011 release.
Supplemented by Jack White & Norah Jones (no-one could have convinced me that this was going to happen !!), the two main protagonists wanted to produce a sort of homage to Spaghetti Western soundtrack music.
Didn't really hit the mark, and didn't do much for me...
AllMusic 3+/5 stars.

1980 album from French/Polish Electronic composer.
I had a copy of this years ago, and it's good to make its' acquaintance again.
This is an instrumental album consisting basically of keyboard music with guitars providing additional textures. Also contains lots of "found" spoken vocals, and some vocoder stuff. It was written as a commentary on capital punishment - Szajner is vehemently anti - and consequently has a pretty dark feel.
Unusual & interesting stuff, this has been added to the Buy List.
AllMusic 4+/5 stars.

Debut full-length album by Welsh House/Trance producer, from 2002.
This was recommended on here ages ago by absent member JonG. It's taken me a long time to get round to hearing it, but everything in due course...
A good Electronic album without being too demanding.
Stays on the Buy List.
AllMusic 4/5 stars.

i-Pod listening in the garden this PM.
Their debut, from 1991.
Dubby, Soulful Hip-Hop from the UK. This was close to the origin of Trip-Hop.
Soothing sounds, with just a hint of menace in the lyrics, and a pretty narcotic feel to the proceedings make for a great, great album.
AllMusic 5/5 stars.
