Found this interesting review of what is clearly an excellent quality album
This is a rare Japanese import CD of the Beatles at the Hollywood Bowl. Originally released on vinyl in 1977, it captures the very essence of Beatlemania. The screams of the (mainly) girls add lots of atmosphere and excitement. The sound quality on my top end hi-fi is excellent with plenty of bass and treble to cut through the mayhem of adoring and screaming fans! To be honest, none of the live tracks on the Anthology Series really capture the madness of Beatlemania in the way that this CD does. The performances come from 2 concerts in 1964 and 1965. The actual product is a replica of the original LP. It is a very high quality Japanese cardboard case which looks very durable. It also comes with a fold out sheet of lyrics and the CD is housed in a paper sleeve with pictures of screaming girls and replica signatures of the Beatles. Additionally you get 4 replica tickets for the Hollywood Bowl concerts. The printing and quality of materials is superior to European/American releases. The Japanese lead the world when it comes producing replica CD's (just look at the Beatles in Mono release-it was Made in Japan!)
This is a very cool CD as it has never been officially released in this country or any Western country. It is only avaliable in Japan and comes with an obi strip. I don't believe it will ever be released in the UK as the living Beatles must feel that the Anthology series covers their "live repertoire" adequately.
Who knows how many have been made-probably not many! Buy it now would be my recommendation!
Crazily, it is the only album available which truly reflects possibly the greatest pop phenomenon of the twentieth Century. Don't hesitate and don't throw away the obi strip!!
Wonder why it is not available elsewhere ?????????
Come on EMI !!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice to be able to go back to trust and friendship!!!!!!!!!
It's a mixed up sensation this being alive
Oh! it wears a man down into the ground
It's the strangest elation
I can't describe it
Oh it leaves a man weary
It makes a man frown..............................Chris Simpson ( "Mixed Up Sensations" 1975 Martin's Cafe )
