Does anyone know of a work of music theater that seems to take its plot and/or dialogue from the 1920s futuristic novel "We" by Yevgeny Zamyatin? The music is contemporary classical for a chamber orchestra with percussion and the version I am trying to identify features the Berkeley Contemporary Chamber Players performing in the late 1970s. I am trying to identify the name and composer of this work. Any help would be appreciated.

It's a mixed up sensation this being alive
Oh! it wears a man down into the ground
It's the strangest elation
I can't describe it
Oh it leaves a man weary
It makes a man frown..............................Chris Simpson ( "Mixed Up Sensations" 1975 Martin's Cafe )
