![]() One of Simon Posford's other musical outlets is under the name Hallucinogen, so it should come as no surprise that this album is a chilled, narcotic Electronic Dance thang with lots of influences from India. These consist of Indian musicians and singers, plus found-sound field recordings. Shpongle are another artist from Twisted Records, who specialise in this sort of thing, and this is an immaculately pieced together record, that verges on being aural sculpture at times. Not scored by AllMusic.

![]() 1976 version of Gustav Holst's orchestral work. Tomita is one of those artists that always intrigued me years ago, but somehow I never got round to hearing anything. MH's recent entries caught my attention, and I plumped for this one, as it's the work I'm most familiar with. Synthesised version of an orchestral classic. If memory serves, this plays fast & loose with the source material. Opinion not really fully formed after one listen, so will need to come back to this one. AllMusic 4/5 stars.

![]() Greek keyboard boffin whose catalog of work is littered with soundtracks. It comes as no surprise then that this is a soundtrackish album. Released in 1976, this is Vangelis' spacey album, and is quite evocative of imaginery of the cosmos. The title track is a reference to the reflectivity of planet earth, and the whole track consists of warm washes of synths with a male voice reciting various statistics about the earth. Actually very effective. AllMusic 3/5 stars.

![]() i-Pod listening this PM in the garden. 1996 debut from this UK Trip-Hop outfit. Very like a slightly more boisterous version of Portishead. Mostly chilled Trip-Hop beats that are very nice for relaxing in the sunshine. Good album. AllMusic 4/5 stars.
