Jessie J is awesome! She's the first artist ever to appear on Saturday Night Live before having an album released. Check her out!

He's not really new, but I'd have to say Bruno Mars. And even though I'm not really into that sort of music, he's an exception due to his meaninful lyrics and fantastic melodies and beats. Some songs are quite catchy, if you ask me. Especially Just The Way You Are, The Lazy Song and of course, Grenade.

In a previous thread I dismissed Mr. Mars as another new and ordinarily sounding pop artist. Man oh man I stand corrected !
I visited my favorite CD store this afternoon and Bruno Mars - Doo-Wops & Hooligans was playing. It wasn't Just the Way You Are but another track that grabbed me. I thought it was Bruno so I asked Gerry(my CD guy) and he said yah it's Bruno Mars. I bought the CD a few hours ago and I love it !!!!! The album is full of surprises ranging from rock to reggae to soul. He has definitely been influenced by many music genres. Also he has written hits for other artists and is a multi-instrumentalist ...all this at the tender age of 26. I've learned a good lesson today...never judge an artist by one song. It appears that Bruno will be here to stay for many many years. What a great young talent ! SteveO

Bruno mars is a talented new artist. However, I wasn't too impressed with his "Lazy Song" music video though :/
