Note - While I was reluctant to include the last 3 albums in this poll, I relented to the fact that they are considered Doors albums. My hesitation was based on the fact that, being one of my favorite groups at the time, once Jim Morrison passed away, I considered The Doors to be no more. To my dismay, they decided to continue for 2 more albums. I must admit, Other Voices is not too bad. I thought Full Circle was terrible. While An American Prayer is a very good album and does include Morrison vocals, is was put together long after his death, and who knows if it would have met his approval.

Well, Summers Almost Gone, so as we prepare for our Wintertime Love, let's take a stroll down Love Street and meet at the tomb of The Unknown Soldier where we are Not To Touch The Earth when we jump aboard the Spanish Caravan to celebrate My Wild Love and just know that We Could Be So Good Together and Yes, The River Knows that I'm giving Five To One that you will be the first to say Hello, I Love You.

My vote goes to LA Woman. A difficult decision indeed, since The Doors are one of my all time favourite bands.

the first album by far. Side One of the album (Break on Through, Soul Kitchen, Crystal Ship, Twentieth Century Fox, Alabama Song, Light My Fire) is probably the best "half" of an album that I've ever heard. I've listened to that album 1000 times and it still isn't old.
The next best ones are Strange Days and Waiting for The Sun. After that, all of their albums have a few good songs but most are so-so. I don't get all the love for LA Woman, that's only their 5th or 6th best album IMO, and they sound more like a blues band than the distinct 'Doors' sound that made them known.

I think that the debut album was the best, I must have listened to it hundreds of times.
After that, they sort have went downhill...(particular in The Soft Parade)

The Doors. The album is very diverse. Soft Parade was really a different sound. Had that 70's sound to it. Some horn arrangements.
