she leans towards a bit of pop on this one, unlike her debut which was pretty much a country album...
same sort of subject matter though, same melodies and a decent all round affair...
I still prefer "same trailer different park" though, but this is still pretty good.

I watched the interview twice and have come to the conclusion that....

A) she is ducking and weaving because as Jerome said...she got caught out, or

B) she just went on a stupid rant without knowing all her facts which makes her sound like an idiot.

I've never heard any of her material but if its anything like the confusing way she speaks and answers
questions then she is not for me....

Aussie country singer...
even though he has released almost ten albums now he is still considered by
many to be "kasey chambers' ex-husband"...
this is his latest album and the only one I own apart from the two he recorded with Kasey...
theres a couple of uptempo numbers on here, but most of them as almost ballad-likeand acoustic
for the most part...
he's not a bad singer but he writes some nice lyrics...
at least this is real country/folk not like most of the other so called singers in this genre over recent decades...
sorry, but the only decent clip I could find was for the single "second hand man", that single probably does sum up
the sound of the album though...

all acoustic with superb harmonies
not many original tunes but it does have the original Sounds Of Silence

I don't get why im not a big fan of S&G...
they have great harmonies, Art's vocals are ethereal and/or surreal...
I guess its just the songs themselves...

give me Paul's "rhythm of the saints" followed by "graceland" any day over these guys as a duo.

For me personally, Paul Simon has some of the best lyrics in the business. I am constantly amazed by the words/phrases he uses to describe things. I have to say I preferred their duo stuff over his solo stuff. My favourite of his is Train in the Distance. A song about the demise of a relationship - very true! https://youtu.be/cy3VrmjGWjo

two legends of country music team up to record an album of pretty much original material...
some of the tracks have been recorded by the artists previously on their own albums, but they wrote them so they have the right
to do whatever the heck they want with them...
theres a couple of others written for them also....
you all know what to expect with these two and we get what we expect....
a couple of tracks with them looking back on their lives, looking back at friends departed also...
I guess theyre really looking at their own mortality as the each reach the 80 year old milestone...
all up, a good album if your a fan, a crap album of youre not a fan...theres no inbetween with these guys...
best track on here basically says...if we had known we'd have lived this long we'd have taken better cares of ourselves...very apt!
