I've found this forum and hope that there are other out there that love music as much as I do. I was given a Robert Cray record in 1985 and it started a journey that continues today. My greatest love in blues is without doubt the early Peter Green and Fleetwood Mac. I've just got hold of 'Dead Bust Blues' a bootleg album of Peter live in New Orleans in 1970. It's blown me away. I also belong to a local blues club which has introduced me to a raft of new talent including Ian Seigal, Wes Weston, The Spikedrivers and so much more. Enough of me for now, tell me about you lot!
Oh, and how do you put a pictures alongside your post?

Hello Green Manalishi, how's your two-pronged crown ??

I listen to pretty much any genre of music, but predominantly Rock. I like Blues but don't listen to a huge amount of it.
Strangely - given your love of Peter Green - I'm just awaiting delivery of the John Mayall album A Hard Road, which features PG on guitar.
Hope you enjoy the forum !!

Hi Tiggi,
My crown's slipped a bit, but still out there!
Thanks for your help. I've got it worked out now. I went to see Robert Cray in Brighton last week. He was great, but his support Marcus Bonfanti was excellent. He looks a bit geeky, but when he sings and plays his guitar, he's brilliant. Check him out on Myspace.
I'm not sure about John Mayall, seen him several times, but he's a bit free fall jazzy for me.
Try Ian Seigal as well. Writes most of his own stuff and is way up there. 'Sugar Rush' is brilliant.
Into rock? What sort of stuff?

Some of my fave stuff:
- Pink Floyd
- Flaming Lips
- The Doors
- Radiohead
- Grateful Dead
- Pixies
- King Crimson
- Jesus & Mary Chain
- Magazine
- Neil Young
- Echo & The Bunnymen
- Nick Cave
- Dandy Warhols
Not a particularly cohesive list, but that's the music I love.

That crosses lots of boundaries! All great though. Did you watch the documentary on Floyd recently? Also the one about the kids from the wall? Interesting lot, real rock & roll lifestyle.
Do you play an instrument?

I think I've seen most of the Floyd documentaries, but haven't seen the one about The Wall kids.
Unfortunately the only instrument I play is a CD player !!

Appreciation of music is as much a part of keeping the art alive as playing. Where would players be without listeners?
