Well, he'd probably be a much bigger nerd if he read all the Star Trek stuff.
Just finished Camus The Stranger. It took me quite a long time considering it's thinness (I always read several books in parallel).
Gonna read Auster's New York Trilogy for the second time since I have to write a paper about Postmodernism in Auster's City of Glass.

My daughter asked me to read this. I did. A story of forgiveness. This guy is on a camping trip with his kids. His youngest daughter is kidnapped and killed. He blames himself for letting it happen. Not his fault of course. He spends five years in his private hell. He receives a note asking him to return to the scene of the crime. He does, to be greeted by none other than God in various forms. Most of the book is this interaction and teaching from The Big Guy, and learning about how and why to forgive. Not for those lacking in the embers of faith. A pleasant read for those who have that.

i am giving Jane Eyre another chance ( she has had several and i put her down in the same place everytime)
its not so much that i dislike the story, just that compared to classics like Frankenstein by Mary Shelley or Dante's Inferno, i find it a little slow
