ROB ZOMBIE "the electric warlock acid witch satanic orgy celebration dispenser" cd, 2016
a revisit
the former metal White Zombie singer's sixth solo album
theres some hard rock on here, some hip-hop scratch stuff
but mostly it appears to be a parody of his former self, almost comical and novelty at times
a good album but anywhere near as good as his debut solo set "hillbilly deluxe"
I LIKE THIS ALBUM
the lead off single, song starts at the 4 minute mark:
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..." - Me 2014.

PANTERA "cowboys from hell" cd, 1990.
a revisit...
thrash metal, one quarter of the so-called "big four" with Metallica, Slayer and Megadeath, Metallica being the only one i like
their fifth of nine, only thing i own and doubt on the strength of this i would buy any more....
first 'major label' release and first to chart anywhere...
typical metal band, all the songs sound the same but they throw in a "power ballad" for good measure
album wears thin very quickly and i wasnt impressed on this occasion
I DO NOT LIKE THIS ALBUM
favourite is the power ballad:
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..." - Me 2014.

PAUL STANLEY "paul stanley/KISS" cd/vinyl 1978
a revisit
put this on in the car today and was slightly underwhelmed by it
i always rated Ace and Peter's solo records from the same time as superior to this and Gene's though
some decent hard rocking riffs but lacked a spark on this listen
i guess it just sounds like a KISS record, nothing more and nothing less but that said
I LIKE THIS ALBUM
