UK TOP 100'S (#21+)
#21
UK TOP 100 16.05.25 #33

10. Nice To Meet You - Myles Smith (Up 3/27 weeks in chart)
9. Bad Dreams - Teddy Swims (Up 3/34 weeks in chart)
8. Blessings - Calvin Harris/Clementine Douglas (NEW)
7. Beautiful Things - Benson Boone (No Change/Sales climb/69 weeks in chart)
6. Azizam - Ed Sheeran (Down 1/Sales fall/6 weeks in chart)
5. Undressed - Sombr (Up 1/NEW PEAK/Sales climb/8 weeks in chart)
4. Show Me Love - WizTheMc/Bees & Honey (No change/Sales fall/11 weeks in chart)
3. Pink Pony Club - Chappell Roan (No change/26 weeks in chart)
2. Love Me Not - Ravyn Lenae (No Change/Sales climb/14 weeks in chart)
1. Ordinary - Alex Warren (No change/9 consecutive weeks no.1/Sales climb/14 weeks in chart)

NEW ENTRYS:

100. Messy - ROSÉ (7.3/10)

Just saw the tracklist for F1: The Album, and I'm drooling out the mouth. Tate McRae, Ed Sheeran, Obongjayer, RAYE, Tiesto + more!! Take Sexyy Red off the album, and it could be perfect. This track from ROSÉ blends high-pitched drums with a deeply emotionally connected voice that's something like 'Toxic Till The End' but instead with a lot more emotional tone and depth while still being a catchy pop song.

91. More To Lose - Miley Cyrus (8/10)

It feels nice seeing Miley leave behind the 'Flowers' & 'Wrecking Ball' of radio pop and make a new chapter that actually feels new. Where it's just her raw voice with most instruments, where you can truly appreciate her singing skills. Miley is showing us how to be a queen in this new era, and she's doing that well.

88. Nope Your Too Late I Already Died - WiFi skeleton/Olantern (3/10)

This track just felt so weird when listening to it.. the vocals were hard to understand, either because of a accent or a bad way of singing and everything had this same emo- indie alternative low pitched sound that sounds like something that would be on the singles tab on AOTY. Weird song, surprised something like it charted.

48. Illegal - PinkPantheress (7/10)

PinkPantheress's fun dance/drum & bass hyperpop with was a nice addition to her new album "Fancy That.:

38. Look To Windward - Sleep Token (5/10)

31. Even In Arcadia - Sleep Token (7.5/10)

These long  alternative metal tracks charting is definitely a strange change for the chart but it's not all entirely bad. From there new album Sleep Token continue there digitally processed sound that sounds similiar to the main singles, I interpret this song as being about death and loss and I think the production showcases that well.

8. Blessings - Calvin Harris/Clementine Douglas (6/10)

Calvin's been on a big losing streak lately; after that painfully bad country-dance crossover, we see him return to EDM, but this just doesn't have his infectious earworm no. 1 hit-making energy. It feels mediocre, and Clementine Douglas didn't help with that, and seeing as Clementine is known for mediocre dance-pop, she wasn't a good choice for this either. Calvin needs to regain his shine because right now this is nothing but a poorly made dance loop.

RE ENTRYS:

98. Closer To The Floor - Jazzy/Ankhoi
[I don't have a problem with this being here.]

79. Stateside - PinkPantheress
[Really good.]

30. Timeless - The Weeknd/Playboi Carti

1. Ordinary – Alex Warren (No Change/10 consecutive weeks number one/Sales, streaming & downloads fall/15 weeks in chart)

NEW ENTRIES"

75. Just In Case – Morgan Wallen (7/10)

This also grew on me, and I can understand why this was more popular than "I'm A Little Crazy". It has a more relaxed yet catchy melody that goes much smoother.

72. Friend Of Mine – Rihanna (2/10)

This movie soundtrack is making big hit artists make their worst song to date, and after creating possibly the worst song of the year, The Smurfs movie brings out Rihanna to make a robotic-like, over-autotuned dance loop which sounds like a better (but still bad) version of some of Rose Mulet's music.

65. Bloom Baby Bloom – Wolf Alice (7.8/10)

Previous listen:

These are the types of alternative rock songs that really help me enjoy the genre.

Added:

Glad to see this brand of alternative rock charting, which ends up going into the field of glam rock more.

63. The Glen – Levi Heron (1.1/10)

"The Glen" was originally a song by Beluga Lagoon that Levi Heron stole and just put a single dance loop on. I'm not kidding... The level of effort in this is on CYRIL's level. Imagine getting millions of TikTok views for putting a simple dance loop on a folk song… goodness, this might be the laziest thing I've witnessed in my 34 weeks writing about the UK charts or in my years of checking the charts… Pathetic.

58. Don't Say You Love Me – Jin (7/10)

Jin actually makes a song that's worthy of a replay? That wasn't on my 2025 bingo card. I like how he blends sadness into a nice English-Korean pop song that captures the energy well.

53. Wasted Love – JJ (7.9/10)

"Wasted Love" was the winning song for Eurovision 2025 that beat Israel in the final and won the competition for Austria. The song is a mix of opera-pop that blends into techno as the phrase "wasted love" is repeated many times till the song's end. If only all countries could give this much effort into their Eurovision music because this is actually pretty great, well executed and has an elegant yet groovy side to it.

48. Bara Badu Bastu - Kaj (8/10)

This song represented Sweden in Eurovision 2025. The song has an upbeat feeling the whole way through, and it feels with the background they've captured culture really well in this song; it's not your usual radio pop, and I think it's worth a check-out.

40. Espresso Machiato – Tommy Cash (7/10)

This is like the 2024 version of "Despacito" with many lines which I deem to be unserious and of a humorous nature, such as those about spaghetti. The song was used to represent Estonia in this year's Eurovision Song Contest with a dance-pop beat that has an electro swing to give the song its party energy. I like it, and I think the song has potential to be bigger.

34. Baller - Abor & Tynna (5.5/10)

"Baller" represented Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 and finished 15th; it's a mix of pop and electronic that sounds nothing more than a DJ loop, so I can't see why, despite it finishing 15th, it charted this high in the UK… it's not getting remembered by me.

32. What I Want – Morgan Wallen/Tate McRae (8/10)

This song is currently my most streamed of the week, and the single shows as the last released single of Morgan's latest album "I'm The Problem". Tate and Morgan both give an equally good vocal performance, with them each letting their style flow through on the ballad.

25. One Thing – Lola Young (6.6/10)

The snippet was easily the worst part of the song, so it's nice to see the full thing is a huge upgrade from what I thought it was going to be. Unlike her previous songs, Lola takes a raunchy route where she talks about "breaking the bed and the sofa". The song has an unpleasant vocal change on "babe" but redeems itself, as the main build-up peak is just an alright fun pop song that's harmless.

8. Family Matters – Skye Newman (6.5/10)

Her first song didn't even go that high, and now this is at 8, and then she just comes out of nowhere… definitely an industry plant. Now to the song, and it may be a big improvement from "Hairdresser", but it still falls flat in terms of what the song gives. Sure, it's a nice bit of contemporary indie-pop where the chorus is easy to enjoy, but it's just easy to enjoy and doesn't do much more... It reminds me of Jorja Smith but with quite a bit of her vocal tone held back.

RE-ENTRIES:

86. Emergence – Sleep Token
⁣I don't care.]

79. I'm The Problem – Morgan Wallen
[Good to see it back!]

31. What The Hell Just Happened – Remember Monday
[Booooooooo!!!!]

NOTEABLE CHANGES:

UK TOP 100 30.05.25 #35

THE TOP TEN:

10. Beautiful Things – Benson Boone (Down 1/Sales fall/71 weeks in chart)
9. Bloodline – Alex Warren/Jelly Roll (NEW)
8. Azizam – Ed Sheeran (Down 2/Sales fall/8 weeks in chart)
7. Blessings – Calvin Harris/Clementine Douglas (No change/Sales climb/3 weeks in chart)
6. Family Matters – Skye Newman (Up 2/NEW PEAK/Sales climb/2 weeks in chart)
5. Show Me Love – WizTheMc/Bees & Honey (No change/Sales fall/13 weeks in chart)
4. Undressed – Sombr (No change/Sales climb/10 weeks in chart)
3. Love Me Not – Ravyn Lenae (Down 1/Sales fall/16 weeks in chart)
2. Pink Pony Club – Chappell Roan (Up 1/Sales fall/28 weeks in chart)
1. Ordinary – Alex Warren (No change/11 consecutive weeks at no.1/Sales and Downloads fall/streaming climb/16 weeks in the chart)

NEW ENTRIES:

84. TaTaTa - Burna Boy/Travis Scott (7.4/10)

I'll take it; there's definitely some spark between the two on the Afrobeat and rap collab – it all feels like they've improved each other, and that's crazy considering I don't like either. This is such a weird and special collab that you don't often hear things like this, and I'm here for it.

69. Leave Me Alone – Renee Rapp (7/10)

Easy to enjoy pop-rock that partly reminds me of Britney Spears but mixed with some modern girl. Reneé brings the character and the energy and creates something that's fun for the dancefloor. Near the end I think she may have given a little too much character for my liking, but it's not the end of the world.

63. Over You – Nathan Dawe/Shayan (6.5/10)

Didn't we leave Nathan Dawe in 2022? Well, he's not the worst; he has some pretty good songs, so I'm not complaining. But this definitely isn't his best attempt at recreating a dance song that radio will go mad over. Sure, it's got the bass hits and the pumped-up DJ sound for the club, but it's missing something… that thing I think may be a better buildup. In his songs "0800 Heaven" and "Heart Still Beating", he slowly gives us that strong, earworm of a hook, and it adds points to my score of the song. Unlike that, with this, Nathan makes the equivalent of a fun dance song that you only may hear again if radio plays it.

32. Gold - Myles Smith (5/10)

From his new EP release, "Gold" has been the one to be featured in the New Music Friday playlist, and I can't say it's terrible, but it's also really general, guitar and singer-songwriter pop. Myles has never gone to any level of high art, I'm well aware, but that doesn't mean he has to rehash the same sound for yet another time.

31. Cliché – Mgk (7.2/10)

Pop and alternative-indie that describe MGK wanting someone to run away with him even if they're better off alone. It's actually an alright listen, not too bad in any way.

19. Can't Decide – Max Dean/Locky/Luke Dean (6/10)

Who are Max Dean, Luke Dean and Locky, and where did this come out of?! This sounds like a song I'd hear when tuning into a random BBC dance show at 10pm. "Can't Decide" is a house/EDM song with an energetic tone and typical vocals that you may hear on DJ music; it's nothing worth your time unless you're deep into the genre because it sounds like a song that would chart at 96 and peak at 80 then drop out. I'm frankly gobsmacked how it got this far.

9. Bloodline – Alex Warren/Jelly Roll (3/10)

Every song Alex Warren makes sounds like a song that you would hear on a Christian wedding reel. Not only is his "Ordinary" song probably going to be the biggest song released in 2025, but his other songs are rising back to popularity; we still haven't forgotten "Carry You Home" in 2025. Goodness, Benson, Myles and Alex & Jelly, 3 artists releasing in the same week, and I got what I expected from every one of them. Soulless and effortless pop music that only has a chorus because they sing higher notes – we need to dump this type of music.

RE-ENTRIES:

99. Unwritten – Natasha Bedingfield
[Is this becoming the mini version of Mr Brightside's chart life?]

95. Wildflower – Billie Eilish
[And still top ten on global Spotify? Oof.

90. Viva La Vida – Coldplay
[Couldn't care less. I've heard this a MILLION times.

UK TOP 100 6.06.25 #36

THE TOP TEN:

10. Bloodline – Alex Warren/Jelly Roll (Down 1/Sales fall/2 weeks in chart)
9. Back To Friends - Sombr (Up 2/NEW PEAK/13 weeks in chart)
8. Azizam – Ed Sheeran (No change/Sales climb/9 weeks on chart)
7. Blessings – Calvin Harris/Clementine Douglas (No change/Sales climb/4 weeks in chart)
6. Just Keep Watching – Tate McRae (NEW)
5. Family Matters – Skye Newman (Up 1/NEW PEAK/Sales climb/3 weeks in chart)
4. Undressed – Sombr (No change/Sales climb/11 weeks in chart)
3. Pink Pony Club – Chappell Roan (Down 1/Sales fall/29 weeks in chart)
2. Love Me Not – Ravyn Lenae (Up 1/NEW PEAK/Sales climb/17 weeks in chart)
1. Ordinary – Alex Warren (No change/12 consecutive weeks number one/longest-running number one of the decade/Sales & downloads fall/streaming climb/17 weeks in the chart)

NEW ENTRIES:

90. Take a Sexy Picture Of Me – Cmat (8.3/10)

This sounds like a mix of Chappell Roan and Adele, and this actually rocks! The Adele part comes from the vocals and the emotional lyrics. The song talks about going through a load of stress in life and just wanting to look sexy and be young, and haven't we all wanted to turn back time through the toughness? Not only will many people understand this, but the message goes deeper, and the production is good for radio while not being a generic slop song. That's a quality that's hard to master, but CMAT has done it! Truly amazing; I'll have to keep CMAT on my radar.

76. Owa Owa – Lil Tecca (5/10)

Just like "Dark Thoughts", this won't be remembered long if it peaks. This samples the classic dance sound "Owa Owa" (which is a bad sample choice) and makes it one of the main components of the song.

73. Zombie – Yungblud (8/10)

This guy's blood incase record has been popping up on my feed recently; he seems like a kind guy. This sounds like Damiano David mixed with high-pitch notes on a rock and pop-punk genre beat.

64. Easy Lover – Miley Cyrus (8.4/10)

Miley leans back into her radio-pop sound while still keeping that class which made people love her new era. The album's out today, and hearing this boogie pop-rock song really lifts the expectations for the album.

62. Man Of The Year – Lorde (7.6/10)

Her accent doesn't come through as much on this (which I prefer), and it serves as a big improvement from "What Was That". It contains her artistic alt-pop sound, which makes her albums so strong, and if she keeps this up, then we could see the 2025 "Melodrama".

46. Cops & Robbers – Sammy Virji/Skepta (8/10)

Sammy brought a bouncy beat, and Skepta brought the rap, and together they made a JAM.

28. Nice To Each Other – Olivia Dean (7.2/10)

Smooth and easy-to-hear pop-soul that sounds like something on her debut album. A pleasant listen, but she's not doing anything new.

27. Fame Is A G*n – Addison Rae (8.2/10)

WOW... Addison makes something that I like?! That's a first. Addison's brand of bubblegum pop and synths usually feels like it doesn't do enough for me, but this made me think of a less glamorous version of PinkPantheress (and I don't mean that in an insulting way); it's just quick, pleasing pop that's good for the playlist.

6. Just Keep Watching – Tate McRae (7.6/10)

Tate's currently my most streamed artist of the year, and this will extend her lead by a slight bit (which she needs, as No. 2 is catching up fast!). Not only is this the best song from the F1 album, but it also has Tate's signature style; it sounds like something from "THINK LATER" but with a fine sound and diva energy coming through. It's a move that Tate's doing to solidify her place among the top pop girlies, and she's doing it well.

RE-ENTRIES:

100. Riptide – Vance Joy
[I quite like this but it doesn't have to keep coming back.]

92. Nope, You're Too Late; I Already Died – Wifiskeleton/Jackolantern
[Not this again...]

83. End Of The World – Miley Cyrus
[This should've been bigger!]

UK TOP 100 14.06.25 #37

THE TOP TEN:

10. Azizam – Ed Sheeran (Down 2/Sales fall/10 weeks in chart)
9. Sapphire – Ed Sheeran (NEW)
8. Blessings – Calvin Harris/Clemintine Douglas (Down 1/Sales fall/5 weeks in chart)
7. Back To Friends – Sombr (Up 2/NEW PEAK/Sales climb/14 weeks in chart)
6. Family Matters – Skye Newman (Down 1/Sales fall/4 weeks in chart)
5. Undressed – Sombr (Down 1/Sales fall/12 weeks in chart)
4. Pink Pony Club – Chappell Roan (Down 1/Sales fall/30 weeks in chart)
3. Love Me Not – Ravyn Lenae (Down 1/Sales climb/18 weeks in chart)
2. Ordinary – Alex Warren (Down 1/Sales fall/18 weeks in chart)
1. Manchild – Sabrina Carpenter (NEW)

NEW ENTRIES:

85. Let Down – Radiohead (8.3/10)

Released in 1997 from their extremely well-received album "OK, Computer", seeing this in the chart is quite interesting, and for the better. It's a bit different from most things of its time, with alternative rock that doesn't go on full blast and instead has a dreamy sound that builds more quality.

61. New York – Addison Rae (4.9/10)

I can't understand the appeal which stems from the same hyped-up pop elements that she always uses. It's not only overused, but it's frankly just been put into so many different ways that it's gotten sickening. Her newest album wasn't for me either; there were only two songs on it I liked (three if you count an interlude).

17. Dior – MK/Chrystal (5/10)

Despite Chrystal giving another unsatisfying vocal performance that could've said MUCH more, MK still had a nice loop that brought some fun. Overall, it was still too much of a safe move from the two, sadly.

9. Sapphire – Ed Sheeran (3/10)

Tell me how Ed went from making many, many good singles that'll stick with me for years to making three songs that are forgettable. Sure, Azizam was my most streamed once, but it never really had a place in my heart… It's like a song that's good but not over the top but for some reason stuck with you. "Sapphire" goes for a mix of English and Punjabi, with Ed starting the song with a generic start and then loudly screaming "Sapphire" and then starting to rap, and if you know me, then you know I hate Ed Sheeran rapping; it's one of the most unnecessary things! It's like when Taylor Swift tried to cover Eminem's "Lose Yourself". And I've actually been hearing "Sapphire" on my feed for weeks, but it never stuck with me; in fact, it started bad, and now it's soured on me more than it already soured. It's sad seeing one of my most streamed artists stumble this badly.

1. Manchild - Sabrina Carpenter (5.6/10)

A quick and poor attempt to make another hit song that resembles "Short N Sweet". Sabrina can never get the summer formula right, and the amount of basic choices and rehashes of older songs from Sabrina showcases this; she isn't one with the ideas. Sad

RE-ENTRIES:

100. The Scientist – Coldplay
[What's with Coldplay randomly returning?]

95. The Chain – Fleetwood Mac
[The exact same thing I said for the last re-entry but with Fleetwood Mac.]

94. Creep – Radiohead
[It's been so long since I've heard this.]

90. Casual – Chappell Roan
[This song is always welcome to leave the charts.]

87. Dive – Olivia Dean
[This song's history on the charts is so odd.]

86. Seventeen Going Under – Sam Fender
[Of course this was going to return.]

73. People Watching – Sam Fender
[I don't care now.]

NOTEABLE CHANGES:

For Coldplay I assume there tour could be why. (But that's there new album and the tour started months ago.. maybe it's just because the songs are classics.)

For Radiohead I couldn't find anything on why.

THE TOP TEN:

10. Back To Friends – Sombr (Down 3/Sales fall/15 weeks in chart)
9. Sapphire – Ed Sheeran (No change/Sales climb/2 weeks in chart)
8. Blessings – Calvin Harris/Clementine Douglas (No change/Sales climb/6 weeks in chart)
7. Undressed – Sombr (Down 2/Sales fall/13 weeks in chart)
6. Family Matters – Skye Newman (No change/Sales fall/5 weeks in chart)
5. Dior – MK/Chrystal (Up 17/2 weeks in chart)
4. Pink Pony Club – Chappell Roan (No change/Sales climb/31 weeks in chart)
3. Love Me Not – Ravyn Lenas (No change/Sales climb/19 weeks in chart)
2. Manchild – Sabrina Carpenter (Down 1/Sales fall/2 weeks in chart)
1. Ordinary – Alex Warren (Up 1/Sales fall/19 weeks in chart)

NEW ENTRIES:

97. Art – Nemzzz/Latto (6/10)

Previous listen:

Nemzzz made this a lot better; I feel his style is easier to listen to, so him being on this helped.

Added:

It's 1 minute and 49 seconds and is simply just their usual rapping; the beat isn't aiming to wow; instead, it's just something to place on their voice. It's not that hardcore either.

86. Rein Me In – Sam Fender (6.5/10)

I believe this is going viral due to the Olivia Dean remix, so I'll post my review of that instead:
This is a new version of Sam Fender's "Rein Me In" from his early 2025 album "People Watching". I honestly think Olivia's verse was not needed, and my opinion on this won't make me come back to the song.

Added:

I'll give my opinion on the original, which I prefer more, with the composition providing some groovy and natural tunes over the song's theme of relationships. The ending is really the cherry on top, with what I believe is a saxophone ending the song.

55. Holy Blindfold – Chris Brown (7/10)

Probably wasn't the best time to drop music, but still. This song is simple; it's Chris Brown, and I haven't heard much of him, but from the stuff I've heard from him, this doesn't impress me much more.

Added (AKA second listen):

The song follows the pattern of Brown's slow, R&B music with the tuning fitting right. And honestly my score is going up! +0.5

40. Sparks – Coldplay (8/10)

From their 2000 album "Parachutes", "Sparks" charted after Chris Martin had a breakup (there's no way we are seriously making a return for this.) But it's still a good song. The guitar chords have this nostalgic feel, and the slowness eases you into the song's emotion of begging for another chance after doing wrong to your partner. The song is enjoyable but also sad.

37. No Broke Boys – Disco Lines/Tinashe (5/10)

Well, it's definitely better than the original and transforms it into a fun, danceable song. I'll take it over the original version.

34. Suzanne – Mark Ronson/RAYE (5.5/10)

I've defended and loved RAYE a lot, but I honestly can't defend this… It just feels so simple in so many aspects. There's no part that gets you hooked or excited more, nor is there anything at all that goes out of the ordinary. It goes for a more old, soulful sound that feels overused.

33. The Contract – Twenty One Pilots (6.4/10)

The first single from TOP's upcoming album, and after hearing "Clancy" for the first time a few weeks ago, it's safe to say there was definitely some excitement in me for this. Did they deliver? Honestly, this could've been much better. It feels like they're trying to give us something new with adding a brand of electronics on top of a slightly changed rock-pop formula. I've heard better from them; this doesn't hit the mark of approval for me.

30. Killin' It Girl – J-Hope/Glorilla (7/10)

The funky clicks and pattern that sound like glasses clinking went together really well, and Glorilla matched the fun and more intense energy by giving an equally as good part.

RE-ENTRIES:

99. Yellow – Coldplay
[Expected with the new entry]

35. Rock That Body – Black Eyed Peas
[Don't get what's with the return.]

Songs that fell 10 spots or more:

THE TOP TEN:

10. Family Matters – Skye Newman (Down 4/Sales fall/6 weeks in chart)
9. Ordinary – Alex Warren (Down 8/Sales fall/20 weeks in chart)
8. Blessings – Calvin Harris/Clementine Douglas (No change/Sales climb/7 weeks in chart)
7. Undressed – Sombr (No change/Sales fall/14 weeks in chart)
6. Rein Me In – Sam Fender/Olivia Dean (Up 80/2 weeks in chart)
5. Pink Pony Club – Chappell Roan (Down 1/Sales fall/32 weeks in chart)
4. Victory Lap – Fred Again/Skepta/PlaqueBoyMax (NEW)
3. Love Me Not – Ravyn Lenae (No change/Sales fall/20 weeks in chart)
2. Dior – MK/Chrystal (Up 3/NEW PEAK/Sales climb/2 weeks in chart)
1. Manchild – Sabrina Carpenter (Up 1/Sales fall/3 weeks in chart)

NEW ENTRIES:

94. You Don't Own Me – Prospa/Josh Baker/Rahh (7.4/10)

A funky dance/house song with synths and an upbeat bass, the song is kind of a jam; the vocals and pulse along with the speed make this song feel a tiny bit like an older song with a modern twist. Dare I say this is a replay? Very much could get one.

93. Golden – Huntr/X/Ejae/Audrey Nuna/Rei (7/10)

From my understanding this is from a show called Demon Hunters, which by the cover I'd assume is on Netflix. It's a K-pop song with a sound that sounds like it's not too unexpected for K-pop girl bands, but that doesn't stop it from still having a fair bit of fun.

92. Hammer – Lorde (7.3/10)

Her accent felt like it was going to flood through, but thankfully it didn't because I think it makes the songs worse. "Hammer" is from Lorde's upcoming album "Virgin" and continues the alt-pop with artistic values. The song talks about love and identity and gives the song the meaning it feels like it needs. Hopefully the rest of "Virgin" can at least be as good as this.

85. Unravelling – Muse (7/10)

A loud rock and metal sound that sounds nice but needs more to the formula. It's passable in my eyes, though.

72. Outside – Cardi B (7.7/10)

Cardi B makes a radio-trap song with the perfect level of bounce in the bass and fiery, unapologetic vocals.

55. Mr Electric Blue – Benson Boone (7.1/10)

It's like "Mystical Magical" but if it didn't carry a whole hate train on the internet. The intense buildup tone on "Watch the way you talk to me" really adds up to the full kick in the hook. And the way it goes into a summer pop song is lovely.

49. Drive – Ed Sheeran (7.6/10)

Ed Sheeran making rock music was not on my 2025 bingo card, but I'm still very thankful it happened. I've heard a lot of Ed, and this is probably the most different thing we'll get out of him; the guitars have gone all out to give a fiery sound that even keeps up in the hook that Ed very well matches. Great.

47. Guilt Trippin – Central Cee/Sexyy Red (5/10)

Sexyy Red keeps getting collaborations left and right, and most don't matter in the slightest. It's just speed-run cheap music to try and get a hit single. In this song Central and Sexyy give their exact same performance and a weak rap hook that fails to impress in the slightest.

44. Plastic Box – Jade (4/10)

The simplicity isn't sweet; it's just straight down to the basics, with Jade feeling lacking in character. Just like in her other songs, it just doesn't hit the mark of even "alright". I fear this album will contend for worst album of 2025.

42. Gabriella – KATSEYE (7.2/10)

Think of everything that their first single "Gnarly" was, and now think of the opposite of each of those elements. This song is softer; it's not cringe, and it actually takes the time in the beat to form a sweet pop song. Think of it like Mae Muller if she were good.

37. We Never Dated - Sombr (7.4/10)

I liked Sombr's trendy music, but I never really came back to it (despite feeling that maybe I might), and this song actually makes me want to hear more of him. It has that emotional and gripping sound that his popular songs have, and if anything, this shows that he hasn't lost his shine. And for what it is, it's also pretty memorable indie rock.

33. High On Me – Rossi/Jazzy (5.9/10)

Jazzy is someone I can rely on to continue to give me electronic dance and house music that doesn't sound like the typical stereotypes of the genre. And with this, it's not my cup of tea, but it's certainly not bad.

4. Victory Lap – Fred Again/Skepta/PlaqueBoyMax (6.9/10)

Previous listen:

Fred Again's style wasn't shown that well on this, and it felt like the song swung in more of Skepta's style with the intense rap beat.

Added (AKA second listen):

My second listen improved my rating by 0.6+; it's still not great, but I can respect the club-hype synth sound. But I'm not really into the synth sound on this; it sounds like something you'd hear at a spooky event at times.

RE-ENTRIES:

None.

2. Dior - MK/Chrystal (No change/Sales climb/4 weeks in chart)
1. Survive—Lewis Capaldi (NEW)

NEW ENTRIES:

88. Revival—Zach Bryan (5.5/10)

Zach Bryan has the meaning and lyricism to sell a song, but he doesn't have the substance; I personally always found him boring.

86. Nine Ball - Zach Bryan (7/10)

This song originated from Zach's dad betting on him to win games of pool. Nine Ball is a variation of the game, so I'm presuming that's where he got the title. The song isn't overcomplex but rather simple, with a guitar and Zach making a song that appeals to their audience, but it feels like the movement of the song and the way Zach sings it in a less dull tone makes it better.

64. Gold—J Hus/Asake (5.7/10)

Previous listen:

5/10

Added:

Intense rap where Asake brings a Nigerian-Afro rap twist; the hook and verses are fair and don't feel like they're giving us anything that makes us hyped for what's next. +0.7, though.

44. Shapeshifter—Lorde (8.1/10)

The song has some great strings in the background that add to the surreal feeling of the song. The lyrics are about personal identity and relationship issues, which feel appropriate with the choice of sound.

40. How It's Done—Huntr/X/Ejae/Audrey Nuna/Rei (7/10)

It's like if Linkin Park was a K-Pop group—the crashing chorus, the high-pitched vocals, it's all giving Linkin Park but with that bad bitch switch.

37. On My Mind - Alex Warren/ROSÉ (5.5/10)

Alex Warren makes music that's as flavourful as numbing spray, so the fact that this felt like the pointless love ballad it was is unsurprising. Alex needs to step up and stop giving the bare minimum build-up to a song that feels like it'll only be loved by Myles Smith's biggest fans.

34. Your Idol—Saja Boys/Andrew Choi/Neckwav (6.9/10)

Another song that's from the same corner of media as "Golden," the song blends K-pop with hip-hop in a song that sounds like a mix of BTS and Imagine Dragons, but not as bad as that collaboration really would be. It's certainly acceptable, even a little catchy, but there are things that could be improved. I know instead of screaming parts of the song, you can make a more real hook instead, and lyric-wise, this has even more areas to improve.

1. Survive - Lewis Capaldi (8.5/10)

He doesn't deserve the hate... I love Lewis Capaldi. He has some of the most raw and heartfelt sounds in the industry; his last album not only touched the heart with every song, but it also proved that he's capable of a LOT. And wow, this song hits the high notes perfectly with the message of surviving mental health issues and troubles of life, and honestly, this nearly brought a tear to the eye. BEAUTIFUL.
