its amazing how someone (Roger Waters) has gone from being as articulated as he was to a bumbling fool....

England had them against the ropes for most of the game but the boys pulled through in the dying minutes of the game. Cast Iron Balls. Still this is the second major game in the tournament where they have won by a single point. The final against New Zealand is going to be a tough one for SA. My head says New Zealand but my heart says SA. Time will tell...
and SA beat England by over 200 runs in a match in the ODI World Cup played in India overnight also, so 2-0 to SA

^^The rugby has been crazy! Not sure my last remaining frayed nerve can cope with anymore nail biting games. Was looking very much like we were not going to make it yesterday and somehow we teetered back from the brink. Thank goodness for this particular 'bomb squad'! Look - we have to have something right? The rest of the planet has electricity - let us have the world cup - c'mon. We need something shiny in our lives!

well done on an incredible feat of not only back-to-back World Cups but also the only nation to hold the cup aloft on four occasions.
now on with the ODI Cricket World Cup

It's the end of an era. You are not going to see the likes of this Springbok team again in a hurry. A unique set of players whose motto must surely have been - we never give up! I met R.G. Snyman & Rassie in my local pub some time back. Both were involved with Munster Rugby at the time. Snyman is a mountain of a man. A group of South Africans who are living in Ireland were driving around in a Kombi painted in Springbok colours. They were going to drive to France for the World Cup. On the back of the Kombi was the slogan - Ballroom Dancing is a contact sport - Rugby is a collision sport.

^Definitely a sport that unites in this country - even if by collision! LOL! Let's hope there's some good that comes out of it all and that the incoming players will have been (and remain) inspired. Siya's story has certain made an impact over the past couple of years - amazing what's possible given the will and a good attitude to go along with it.
