Ruhi Sheikh Wrote:the autobiography of Hitler. More or less. Against the background of his autobiography he draws up the main features of his world-view and of his manifesto (you know how it ended...). The book is banned here and as a history student you need to be authorized by your prof to borrow it. Happy reading! As of late, I have been reading Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men. It's quite good. I like the psychoanalytical idea behind the main characters Lenny and George.

Iota Wrote:The book is banned here and as a history student you need to be authorized by your prof to borrow it. Seriously? I can't see how that makes sense nowadays but I guess changing it would probably be a emotive issue. I'm currently reading 'Drop Dead Gorgeous' by a local writer, Wayne Simmons. It's set in a post-apocalyptic Belfast . My kids have bullied me into reading it.

I am currently reading 'Britain's Rome' which is a history book surprising about the Romans in Britain.
My reason, is that eventually I want to go and see many of the old Roman sites and ruins around the country. Already been to Bath, where the great Bath was. Next I have planned to see is Hadrian's Wall.
With Regards...

I just finished reading "Black" by Ted Dekker, it's the first of a trilogy (Black, Red, White) that is religious fiction. REALLY GOOD. Might I suggest Kiss by Ted Dekker and Erin Healy also a very good novel.
