What Are You Listening To?
Today's pick - just a feel good laid back track - can play this over and over endlessly - https://youtu.be/liGRChNyvdU
Somewhere between right and wrong there is a garden. I will meet you there - Rumi

Shawn Phillips - Furthermore

An eclectic mix of sounds on this album - quite a lot of fusion and most impressive bass courtesy of John Gustafson ...

"See You" segues into the instrumental "Planscape" ...

I am glad you rated The Final Cut high up on the list. It's a real gem of an album that most people just don't 'get'. His most chilling lyrics ever. Even more so than The Wall.

They flutter behind you, your possible pasts
Some bright-eyed and crazy, some frightened and lost
A warning to anyone still in command
Of their possible future, to take care
In derelict sidings the poppies entwine
With cattle trucks lying in wait for the next time

NEIL YOUNG   "are you passionate?"  cd, 2002

a revisit
his twenty-fourth solo album...
Booker T & The MG's are his backing band here for the most part,
a couple with stalwarts Crazy Horse too...
if you want a detailed description go to the beginners guides threads...
a solid album that gets better with age, or does it just sound better than it is due to inferior releases by NY over the last couple of decades?
I LOVE THIS ALBUM

Something I heard on the radio this morning - I just dig this track - don't know anything about the band/songwriter/composer - I think it's just plain brilliant - https://youtu.be/GxCCkpJr8mg
