I read the news today, oh boy!
This new summit on climate change in Glasgow is going to produce diddly squat. These 'leaders' will all go home and it will be business as usual - let's make more money and let the poor stupid people think we are actually doing something about the planet. They don't have a plan and they are all just grandstanding. Each 'leader' is going to go home and say - hey we keep our industries going and let the other fools implement all the changes in their countries while we carry on as normal. But they forget - every other 'leader' is thinking exactly the same thing. It's farcical. As Thin Lizzy once proclaimed - Don't Believe a Word...

Hey here's an idea - let's start off by cancelling the commercialisation of Christmas. Just think how many trees we can save...

We have to get people out of the habit of buying all the unnecessary crap that they fill their lives with and that they really don't need. Or even use. Do you really need a second car? Or 5 TV sets?

'Imagine no possessions - I wonder if you can' - John Lennon.

A bit of useless information for you all. Busy listening to a radio program about extracting DNA from a corpse. Some forensic scientist being interviewed. Apparently one of the most important areas to get a really good sample for DNA analysis is the inner ear. Go figure!

When they extract the DNA from my corpse their deduction is probably going to be - 'Oh he is definitely of Floydian descent'.

I am waiting....

not so much reading the news but watching a couple of clips of Greta Scumbag in Scotland over the last few days.

i think she is quite possibly the most dangerous woman in the world....

shes quick enough to point the finger of blame at what she sees is wrong with the world and has millions of impressionable youth hanging on her every word but she has no solutions, ideas or genuine arguments, just blame.
i was always told that "if you disagree with something or someone you better have intelligent answers or alternative solutions or you look like a fool" (good advice), but Greta has none,
instead, she is feeding off the fear of those who are most impressionable, she is no different than the "anti-vaxxers", "sov-cits", "1st ammendment auditors" and other conspiracy theorists that spread misinformation for no other reason than anarchy IMO.

Phew, thats my little soapbox rant for the week, i'll crawl back under my rock now....

I don't pretend to know the first thing about Asperger's syndrome but this may contribute to her apparent hot-headed approach to dealing with people. She is right in what she is saying but she is going about it the wrong way. She is just as guilty as all the rest of us are in contributing to global warming. The problem is our lifestyles are so entrenched in consumerism that we don't seem to be able to stop the endless cycle of buy & consume. At the end of the day if we do not collectively change the way we are doing things then Mother Nature is going to force us to. I remember an old saying, which might be Native American. Ad-libbing here;

Only when the last bird is taken from the sky
The last fish taken from the stream
And the last beast slaughtered upon the land
Only then, will man realise that he cannot eat money.

New Zealand legalises assisted suicide. All countries should have this option IMO. People should have the right to die with dignity.
