like Knopfler and Browne, can always rely on Rea's albums to be good.

DAVID BOWIE "let's dance" vinyl/cd 1983
his fifteenth...
also his most successful by a long way...
'commercial' Bowie here...
pop and funk grooves throughout...
used to love this one, went off it a few years ago...
a pleasant easy to listen to album...
I LIKE THIS ALBUM
favourite: (love the full 7 minute album version)

Read that Strawbs is remastering and expanding The Broken Hearted Bride so decided to listen to the original in the meantime ... will be interesting to hear the updated version. Honestly, this band is nothing if not eclectic!
The rousing, driving opener, "Call to Action" - fab sounds with a middle eastern twist ... (an instrumental version of this, cleverly titled "Action Replay" is the penultimate track ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUx9QuvoG1E)
And this one, written and sung by Dave Lambert ...

from Georgia (US not Russia)
Southern Rock, Blues Rock, Classic Rock...
hearing some Mellencamp, Jagger and Stephen Tyler in the vocals and Stones in the music...
decent album but very little variation in the tracks...

Steely Dan - Goucho right now, to be followed by Aja. Both fabulous. They had such an incredibly warm sound.
