All going well I should have the first 3 patterns of the 'Thought Patterns' project up on the site by the end of the week. Maybe the start of the 4th pattern as well. Time will tell.

Being in the middle of a lockdown has it's advantages. No distractions. Can't go anywhere. Can't do anything. There are two things that are going to come out of this lockdown for sure. Creative people will have created more stuff and there is going to be baby boom somewhere down the line.

Oh yes - and insurance costs will have gone up.

RyanAir - the low cost airline company - I call them vomit comets - have decided they will ignore the EU rule that says if the airline cancels flights, which they have, then the customer must be offered the choice of a refund. They're not paying. You can only get vouchers for future flights. I hope their previous customers all go to another airline after this whole saga is over. Miserly bastards.

And Mr. Phillips delivers again. In fine style. Professionalism personified. Should have a rough mix up on the site by Friday evening. The first three sections welded together. Sort of. BTW his timing is so good it exposes your glitches. Ouch! Going to have to do some homework...

glad you've found someone who obviously understands what youre trying to achieve, it takes the stress and pressure away when that happens.

Believe me CH - you can set a digital watch by his timing. I have just received the final files. 26 separate mikes around the kit/room and some really creative touches in his playing. It's not always obvious when you hear a rough mix but when you listen to just the kit alone without all the other stuff going on you understand why he's the best. In my book anyway. I only hope my simplistic mixing skills do it some justice. And I am going to have to clean up my act big time!

Funny thing is when they have these online polls of who the best drummer is, he's hardly ever mentioned. And yet he is light years ahead of the pack.

I think it was Ruby that came up with the phrase 'emotional intelligence'. That's what he brings to the table apart from his obvious talent as a drummer. He thinks about what he's going to do. Makes all the difference. Anyway I have put up a (very) rough mix on the page just to give you all an idea of where it's going. Sales potential - zero! Satisfaction of creating something - immeasurable. Keeps me out of mischief.
