I don't think you guys get the way the current crop of young musicians think.

Even if they knew how to spell correctly, they would never admit it; that is so uncool, they would be the laughing stock of their peer group. Especially if they are trying to affect a gangster image.... sorry, "gangsta".

Slade, of course, were the original offenders in this regard. I don't think Slade were ever known to spell a word correctly.

Slade intentionally spelled the words as you would say them....Come = cum, Crazy =crazee, noise = noize etc etc.

but yes, they probably were the originators of it...it was sort of their "gimmick" to stand out from the crowd, then again Noddy Holder only had to open his mouth and sing to stand out from crowd IMO....

as for TC bob_32, have you heard their linked tracks early on in this thread????, theyre abysmal at best, yes theyre harmless, but still abysmal.

Incorrect - 'youre home' instead of 'your home' (not to mention 'sittin') is not being cool at all. They are not trying to be deliberately cool. They just don't know how to spell. Period.
