Wynonna says that the Judds -- she and her mother, Naomi -- are up for "everything" in 2010, when she tells Billboard.com that the duo will work in some capacity.

"We are 'in talks,' so there's nothing that's been defined yet," Wynonna explains. "I just felt it in my spirit. A couple weeks ago I said, 'It's 2010. It's been 25 years. It's take your mother to work year. It just feels like it's the right time; she'll be 64 in January, and I think it's time -- not the whole year, but it's just going to be a way to celebrate her."

Wynonna says she actually started thinking about the Judds in 2010 when the two performed at this year's CMA Music Festival in Nashville. "It was huge," she recalls. "We sang for 50,000 people and they sang back to us and it was a holy moment. And on the drive home I thought, 'Y'know, I really appreciate where I've come from and the people do, too, and they love the Judds music and it hasn't disappeared.' I just thought, 'Y'know, I think it's time.' "

Wynonna says that she and her mother "are open to" recording again as the Judds as well as playing live. She adds that she's also "thinking about" asking Naomi to join her on her annual A Classic Christmas Tour next year. "We plan a year in advance," notes Wynonna, who kicks off this year's run Nov. 28 in Hershey, Pa., "so I'm already thinking (about) next year."

Any Judds activity will come on top of other plans Wynonna has for the new year -- including the publication of a new novel, "The Restless Heart," that's aimed at young adult readers and tells Wynonna's own story through a fictional character.

"She's basically the Miley Cyrus age group area, so I can tell my story through her about trying to make in the music business. Who can't relate to that?" Wynonna says. "It's about the dreamer aspect, having stars in your eyes. What kid doesn't know what that's about? I'm just trying to find a way to connect with that generation and especially the younger girls, because it's a really major, formative time in their lives and I want to teach them."

Wynonna is also starting work on a follow-up to this year's covers set "Sing: Chapter 1" but hasn't come up with a concept or direction for it yet.

"I may go traditional. I may decided to do blues. I may decide to do '80s rock," she explains. I'm a work in progress. I don't have any single, one-line definition of where I'm at. I'm kid of all over the map right now, but we'll hone in on something very soon, I think."
